On the weekend of March 16 – 18, 2018, Northeastern University hosted the 2018 Graduate School of Education Conference and Doctor of Education Residency. The program offered an opportunity for Marisa to meet with other students, faculty, and community leaders.
During the pre-conference reception, educators shared their journey to becoming change agents in education. On Saturday, Marisa attended workshops and an EdD Alumni and Faculty panel before presenting her work-in-progress at the poster session and cocktail reception. Sunday offered her the opportunity to participate in round tables and attend lunch with NEU faculty for more personalized discussions.
The residency took place at Northeastern’s Seattle campus, and the feedback she received from the faculty helped her find new ways to express her research interests.
